The Department of Management Studies, TJC, organized a Budget 2010 competition on 26 February 2010. Six student teams from T John Institute of Technology, T John Business School, T John Institute of Management and Department of Management , T John College made impressive powerpoint presentations based on their version and expectations of the Union budget 2010.
The event saw an impressive crowd of students from all the institutions of the T John Group coming together to support and quiz the teams.An expert panel consisting of Professor Sukumar Nayak, Principal , T John Business School, Dr. Nagaraj, Director, VTU MBA, Dr. George Easaw, Principal, T John College, Dr.B.S Patil, Director, Management Studies put up interesting and thought provoking questions to the competing teams.The budget presentation was moderated by Prof M John.
It was a unique event on the lines of the Union budget presentation and happened while the Finance Minister was presenting the Union Budget in Parliament the same day.
Team MBA TJC Second Semester were declared winners while Team MBA VTU, TJIT were given the second prize . The winning team took away a cash prize of Rs. 500/- . Certificates were awarded to all the participants. The event has certainly created a buzz on campus!!!! |
